Step Beam Roll Forming Machine
Linbay offers the forming machine for step beams, whose function is to support the weight of the load in rack systems. The machine has a speed of 10 m/min up to 20 m/min, depending on your requirements. The step beam can be manufactured from 3" to 6 1/2", with self-regulating change. If you want to get different measurements, they can be changed. Self-regulating adjustment is possible using a servo motor, with which we can move the base precisely in function with an encoder. Changes in measurement and length are made on the screen of our electrical cabinet, making it more practical for the user. It is essential to weld this profile from the top, using two welding machines in continuous motion, welding specific points on the beam. Alternatively, we offer laser welding, which allows the entire beam to be welded while it is in motion.
The machine can work with different materials such as cold-rolled steel, galvanized steel, PPGI, carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum, with thicknesses from 1.5mm to 2mm.

5. Q: What does the speed of the forming machine depend on?
A: Speed depends on the required specifications. Depending on the shape of the profile, we look for the most effective way to design your machine. During the welding process of the forming beam, we can use two different methods: MIG welding, where two guns weld specific points of the beam with the help of a mobile servo motor; or laser welding, which simplifies the process by welding continuously as the material moves, without the need to stop. Finally, to maintain a constant speed, we use a cutting disc with a movable base, allowing the beam to be cut as it moves forward without reducing speed.
